Hi, I sure could use some help, my Versa 3 won’t show my text messages coming from my phone, I’m truly lost

I have a Samsung galaxy s8. I am getting notifications that I have a new text msg but when I click on the "open" button it just returns me to the clock screen.

I have done ALL of this and my Fitbit still will not receive text messages. It doesn’t always show emails like it is set to do either. I usually have to turn the Bluetooth off and back on. I’m really frustrated and do t know what else to do except return it and go with a different smartwatch.

Finally figured mine out. Went to settings, bluetooth, clicked on the “i” to the right of Versa 3, toggle “share system notifications” off then on again.

I tried all the suggestions....but to no avail. I still can't get texts or notifications on my fitbit.....please help! This is the 4th time (and fitbit) I have had this problem on.

Hello. I don't use mine anymore, but I think what MitKralc on the previous page said worked for me...
"Make sure you have message previews on in the notification setting on your iPhone. I had the same issue. Turned in previews always and it works just fine."

I don't have an iPhone either, but there was some weird set the messages to show. Sorry I am not of more help. Pretty sure it's something you have to change in your phone setting like show text previews or something. Again, sorry.

Hi @Lickskillet - as stated in the post before yours there is nothing you can do to fix it but wait for a new update to the Fitbit App which appears to affect Android users.

Okay @guy and @Lickskillet....Talk about frustrating. I have never had something like this watch continually lose the ability to connect and give you the items that you purchased it for! This is my 4th watch. My husband has a Versa 2 but doesn't wear it very often....therefore his still works. I had the skinny watch 1st, it quit working after 2 years, so I thought okay I understand that. I bought the Versa 2 and wore it for awhile, then I decided I liked the Sense, so I bought that one, it quit working with text and anything voice controlled, like Google or Alexa. So I bought the Versa 3 on 12/21/2021, and it already quit working. I think I'm done with fitbit. Anyone know of other watches that are better other than for Apple?
