Versa 3 won't show the correct time

I find quite annoying that on some occasions my Versa3 gives me the wrong time! I nearly missed my train the other day. On these occasions I had to go to my iPhone app and start the sync and time is then synced and corrected. My phone is always with me when this  happens. I no longer rely on my Versa 3 when I have to attend an important meeting and use my phone instead.  This is a  major flaw in the system design and should be addressed as a matter of urgency. The minimum you expect from a watch is to give the correct time!

Hi @bkasmai  - this would indicate a faulty watch, which should normally keep good time over days without syncing. My watch is synced once every 5 days or more and keeps time to within a few seconds.

If you have restarted the watch via Shutdown from the watch Settings menu and changed to a Fitbit clock face and it still loses time, you could still try a Factory reset from the watch Settings About Versa 3, System info menu.

But note there is always a risk that the process kills the watch. The best you can do is wait at least several minutes after activating the reset and then redo the "+ Set up a Device" from the Fitbit App, to reinitialize it.

If the watch remains faulty and is still under warranty, 1 to 2 years depending on country law, take it back to where you bought it for replacement.

Hi there, @bkasmai. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. @Guy_ Thanks for your help!

Please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit grabs the time of the device you're syncing with. To make sure your watch has recently synced, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.

If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Also, note that the time on your Fitbit device may be wrong after you travel to a different time zone or when clocks change for Daylight Savings. If you changed time zones and the time on your Inspire is still incorrect after syncing, make sure the time zone setting is correct. For more information, see How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?

If none of the above works for your, I recommend changing your time zone to a complete different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again.

Hope this helps.

I am afraid none of the scenarios you mentioned applies. My versa is always next to my watch and the time difference is jus 5-10 minutes but important to me for not missing my appointment. I think there is a bigger issue with regards to the watch un-bugged operating system. Otherwise the watch is ok except that from time to time it gives wrong time!

I am not sure this indicate a faulty watch. My versa 3 watch works fine except on occasions is out by 5-10 minutes even though my watch near leaves my phone. I think the fault is fundamental and to do with a bug in the operating system
