Versa 3 won't show the correct time

Launch of the new app coincided with the start of daylight savings in some Australian states; I live in a state (Queensland) that DOESN’T use daylight savings time. My Versa Timezone is set to Queensland, but, since I synced it this morning  (1 October), my Versa is showing the daylight savings time ie one hour ahead.

I have reset the Timezone (which was correct) manually and re-synced, but it’s still showing the incorrect time.

I am using an iPhone, which is showing the correct time, to sync my Fitbit.

Hi there, @JennyB006. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 3. I appreciate you've taken the time to try troubleshooting this issue before posting here.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, I'd recommend trying the following:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Once you manage to sync your Versa 3, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

How can I set up my Versa 3 again with the Fitbit App if the bluetooth is not connecting? My Versa 3 stopped syncing/bluetooth connection a few days ago and now has lost time obviously. I have tried various options but nothing seems to connect the bluetooth. Have removed all other bluetooth connections from my iPhone.

Thanks for this response.

I have (finally) unpaired my Fitbit from the new app, which FYI, I am already finding extremely clunky and much more difficult to navigate than the previous version.

I have now followed all of the instructions provided and the problem has NOT been resolved. Absolutely nothing has changed.

Your comment (the final sentence of your response) re my Fitbit using the time of the device that it’s synced with is entirely nonsensical to me - as I clearly stated in my initial query, the time on my iPhone, which I am using to sync my Fitbit, is correct ie showing Australian eastern standard time, but the time on my Fitbit is incorrectly showing Australian Eastern DAYLIGHTSAVINGS time.

I went on the John Lewis website as had bought my Fitbit there and was going to return it as under guarantee. However, I went through their support page and followed instructions to Factory Reset.  Thought I'd try this - and it worked.  The fitbit app bluetoothed to my phone thank goodness and all is now working.

Sadly clock faces all gone and some of my favourites no longer available!
