Versa 3 won't stay connected to my Moto G7's Bluetooth

I'm so frustrated. I bought a Versa 3 a few months ago, and since then, I've had nothing but trouble with syncing it with my Moto G7 Power. I have to constantly reset my phone and watch in order for it to pair, but 9/10 my Bluetooth settings well tell me "Pairing Rejected by Versa 3", *if* it's recognized by my phone. It definitely won't pair in the app (it will just tell me "Sync is taking a while. Sit tight..." for 15 minutes before telling me the sync failed). I've had no problems pairing any other Bluetooth devise to my phone, but I need this for a step competition that I have to do. Please help.

(Also this is for a Versa 3, even though I had to choose a label and Versa 3 isn't available..)

Hi there, @bagelsfordays. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.

As a first approach, please make sure that your Moto G7 meets the requirements listed here.

Regarding the connectivity issues, please note that your data automatically syncs to the Fitbit app throughout the day. Each time you open the Fitbit app, your device syncs automatically when it's nearby. You can also use the Sync Now option in the app at any time. For more information, see How do Fitbit devices sync their data?

Nevertheless, I'd recommend trying the below steps:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 3 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

On the other hand, if you're referring to the Versa 3 Controls, note that they might be listed as “Not Connected” in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. When you receive a phone call, the controls automatically reconnect. This feature requires more frequent charging. For more information, see How do I take on-wrist phone calls with my Fitbit smartwatch?

I've moved your post to the Versa 3 board for organization purposes.

Hope that helps.
