Versa 3 won't stay connected to my iPhone's Bluetooth

I’ve been a Fitbit fan since 2015 but I’m starting to seriously lose my patience with it. I upgraded from the Versa 2 to the 3 bc my 2 wasn’t accurately keeping my heart rate during workouts. I received the 3 one month ago and aside from it also not properly tracking my heart rate during exercise NOW every time I open the app (literally every single time) it asks to pair it with my iPhone 13. Bluetooth has this device connected ALL THE TIME! I don’t understand why I have to see the popup asking to pair it when it IS paired, according to my phone anyway. I’ve logged out,  logged back in, removed the device, added it back, turned off Bluetooth, etc. Nothing is working!!! Help please

Hi there, @Wonderland82. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend the following steps in order:

  1. Remove the Bluetooth connection between your iOS device and your Fitbit device: On your phone, go to Settings, Bluetooth, the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device and then Forget This Device.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on your iOS device once again and please turn your phone off and back on
  3. Restart your Fitbit device once again. See How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  4. Once your phone and Fitbit device are back on, turn on Bluetooth and try the set up process again. If you have trouble connecting your watch to Wi-Fi, see Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?

Note: If you still have your Versa 2 pair to your iPhone's Bluetooth, I suggest you remove it to avoid connectivity issues with your Versa 3.

As for the heart rate, please see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hi there,

Thank you for the tips on how to fix this but the crux of the problem is mainly because I do not have to ability to "forget this device". yesterday I removed it entirely and then added it back in but it didn't fix the problem. This just started happening yesterday out of the blue. The Versa 2 has been removed from this phone for a few weeks now so I don't think that's the problem.

I have turned the fitbit on and off, removed it from my phone, added it back, restarted my phone 4 times. Nothing is working.
