Versa 3 won't stay connected to my iPhone's Bluetooth

Since buying my versa 3, it disconnects from Bluetooth several times a day. My previous watch never had this issue.

Even if my phone is right next to me, it will disconnect and won’t reconnect until I go into settings and reconnect it. It’s preventing me from getting notifications on my watch.

steps I have taken to correct it.

Restarted my watch

Restarted my Bluetooth

restarted my phone

updated the watch

updated my app

updated my IOS

returned watch to factory settings

ive spoken to customer service through chat twice and they were not helpful

whatsoever. After speaking with my MIL today, she has the same issue of her watch disconnecting.

signed a very frustrated versa 3 owner

Hi there, @ElleMC88. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try removing the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Fitbit device:

*On your phone, tap Settings Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
*Open the Fitbit app and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone. Tap Pair to approve the request.

Sync your Versa 3 automatically when you open the Fitbit app or manually by tapping your profile picture > your device tile > Sync Now.

If the issue persists, please make sure to check this help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

However, if none of the above seems to do the trick, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online again or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

We hope your issue is solved soon.

Did you figure it out? I’m so frustrated I’ve been through all those steps. I’ve been on the chat I’ve called on the phone and of course you can get it to reconnect but then it just disconnects again they even replaced mine with a new one and it does the same thing. I’m so missing my old charge that lasted many many years and was so reliable. This versa three is worthless. I’m at a loss to know which one to buy. .

No, you guys say the same thing over and over and we do it over and over and it disconnects over and over. They should be replaced with one that is reliable.

Hi everyone, I really don’t believe there is a fix that we can do . I honestly think it’s down too Fitbit and Apple, probably swaying more towards Apple.

I’ve been checking through some of the fixes and they had dates of 2015 so nothing has improved.

I had a Fitbit HR 2 for years joined to a Samsung phone, which runs android with no problems and I even got my battery level updates. I then changed to a Fitbit sense and iPhone and they are always disconnecting and have to reconnect the Bluetooth manually. I really don’t think Apple want anything but their watches being able to connect properly.

Makes complete sense. I went back to a charge 2 and it works fine just doesn’t have the features versa 3 had but they didn’t even work anyway.
I got so sick of their trouble shooting routine of course we all know how to do that but it still doesn't stay connected.
