Versa 3 won't stay connected to my phone's Bluetooth settings

So I’ve had an Apple Watch for the last five years and no issues with it at all but I recently decided to have a change and bought a Versa 3 on 2 October, all was well and I loved it until 12 Oct when a worldwide problem happened. That was sorted and I thought all was fine BUT since then the versa 3 constantly loses its Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 13 Pro regardless how close my phone is. I have had to “forget” and “pair” over 50 times since Friday. I’ve also rebooted both devices, disabled my other Bluetooth items, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, checked my battery settings etc.. nothing has fixed it! I am beyond frustrated, missing calls and messages because I’m unaware it’s disconnected itself and I’m  wishing I had just kept my Apple Watch! I’ve had it 10 days so may take it back and get my money back!

Hi there, @_Taraz88_. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3 and your time in trying to troubleshoot the issue before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

Before trying the above, please be aware that most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Nevertheless, if your Fitbit device was unpaired from your Fitbit account during this period of time, neither the 7 days can be recovered or restored.

Hiya

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, I have tried everything you have suggested. I have unpaired all devices from Bluetooth including the Fitbit and then only paired the Fitbit back so there's no disruptions but that hasn't helped. I am somewhat “tech savvy” so I have jumped on all the forums and tried everything. Rebooting both devices, uninstalling the app and reinstalling, shutting down the Fitbit etc.

The Fitbit is even losing the blue tooth connection while my phone is in my pocket on myself! It’s absolutely ridiculous. I would have blamed the device itself but I didn’t have this issue until Thursday 12 October. It is beyond frustrating now and I'm considering returning it to the shop.

Kind regards

Tara

Sorry I forgot to add once my versa 3 is paired it syncs perfectly. I haven’t lost any data  because I usually notice within a few hours the icon on my watch showing it’s disconnected but I am missing messages and phone calls. The issue is with the Bluetooth connection dropping out all the time.
