Versa 3 won't stay connected to my phone's Bluetooth

I've had my versa for over a year, the notification works maybe once in 3 months when it wants to, the disconnected icon is alway on, no matter what I do it doesn't connect, and I have to sync my watch manually everyday and most days it doesn't sync, it's like my watch has a mind of its own! I really regret buying this watch!

Hi @Hobear  -  if your watch isn't connecting to the phone when it needs to you won't get notifications.

  • Have you already tried restarting the phone and doing a Shutdown of the watch from the Settings menu at the bottom? Wait 10 seconds before placing it on the charger to restart and charge it.
  • Make sure there are no other phones, PCs or Bluetooth devices on while trying to fix syncing.
  • If you have to sync manually may be your phone is shutting down either the Fitbit App or Bluetooth for battery saving, make sure it's not configured to do that.
  • Your connection issues should be fixable but it depends on the type of phone you have. But already have a look here.
  • Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
  • Sometimes when all is in order,
    • Remove the Versa 3 Bluetooth entries from the phone's Bluetooth
    • do a simple Logout/login to the Fitbit App,
    • go to the phone home screen without closing the Fitbit App and click on the sync popup
    • this should pair and link your watch, to enable syncing

If none of that works probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you sort it out.

My versa stopped working. When I put it on the charger it works. When I take it off the charger it does not work.

I've tried everything, following all the steps and even googled it, and it never stay connected for long, maybe a day then it goes bk to disconnected, this started few months ago, but my notification didn't work even when my phone was connected.

Mine is exactly the same as yours! It's frustrating, now I just use it as a normal fitbit not a smart watch, I'm glad I'm not the only one, then it must be a manufacturing issue then.

It’s so frustrating, I have to reconnect to my phone daily and even then, it doesn’t stay connected. Another frustration, I have it (or tried to anyway) connected to another app to count my steps and it doesn’t work. Regretting this purchase.

I have the same problem, my watch always disconnects, and I have to
manually connect my watch everytime.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I have had my versa 3 for 8 days, it worked great with my phone and the app for the first 6 days, now it will not connect or sync...and I have tried all of your recommendations. I have had no luck at all getting intouch with customer service, very frustrating.

Hi @LMTRICE1970  - did you try logout of the app and restart both watch and phone already?
