Versa 3 won't stay connected to my phone's Bluetooth

Versa 3 constantly drops syncing.  I used to have a charge 3 and never had this problem.  Unless I keep my phone attached to me, it drops all the time.  The range must be really short.  Then, I have to unpair the versa 3 controls and repair to get it to sync again every time probably several times a day.  Wishing I'd got a Samsung galaxy watch now.

Hi there, @sls1972. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.

As a first approach, may I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

Since you frequently see the phone disconnected icon, I'd suggest following the tips and recommendations provided in this help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

On a side note, I was wondering if you're still using the same mobile phone you used to use with your previous Charge 3? If your Charge 3 is still linked to your phone's Bluetooth settings, that might be causing connectivity issues with your Versa 3 and the Fitbit app.

With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 and the previous Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for replying.  I have already unpaired the old charge and its the same phone.  Samsung s20 fe.  This versa just seems very glitchy.
