Versa 3 Bluetooth loses connection to iPad almost daily. The only way to get it to sync again is to reboot the Versa.

This has been happening for about a month now.

Hi there, @Tynesideyodda @joon6. Welcome to the forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

Please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Thank you for the information. I have tried all the things you have mentioned. This has been going on for months. I think I’m more than likely going to dump this for a different brand.

---------------------------------------------------------

I have tried all the above and I’m at the point of putting it in the bin… best check how long I’ve had it first incase I can take it back to the shop! I’m so frustrated! This smartwatch is not cheap and I would expect it to last a little longer!

I am about to trash this piece of garbage. It's too inconvenient to have to keep doing this!

Thinking of doing so myself. I’m sick of not receiving messages etc due to the connection problem. I’ve missed so many messages that people are starting to think I’m ignoring them.  Not happy! I think this is my 4th Fitbit so unless I get one sent to me from them as a good will gesture I won’t be purchasing another.

Done this numerous times it's getting boring would have been better off just buying a cheap watch for the good this watch is doing 😞

I’m also having the same problem! I’m missing messages and calls as they are not coming through to my watch, what is the point of having one if it’s not fit for purpose?!

I have the same issue, however, it stays connected for about a day. Then I will look at my phone and have notifications that didn't show up on my watch. In order for me to connect my versa 3 is shutdown the Bluetooth and re-enable it after about 30 seconds. Looks like it connects, but doesn't sync so I force stop the app and clear the cache, and try again. Again lasts about a day and have to do it again.

Fitbit needs to look into this and figure out why it keeps disconnecting, or have a better connection system. It's kind of the point that we all spent some $$ on this product. Or upgrade us for a 75% discount on a newer model.

I just bought my Verse 2 and it’s already doing this yesterday. I do not want to have to go through these steps everyday.

Send it back it's useless 🤣

You only have to read the comments I even spoke to Fitbit tech and they suggested I lied about doing the steps to reconnect 😞😡

I tried this step-by-step and ONLY linked my versa 3 to Bluetooth. It still lost pairing with Bluetooth within an hour.

I have to remove my versa 3 from Bluetooth, restart my phone, Connect again. After 2 to 3 attempts it works for a short period, if I’m lucky. Having this problem for a month or 2 and it’s getting worse by the week. Time for another brand than Fitbit.

That solution might work but absolutely unacceptable.  I have to unpair and reorder all my bluetooyh connections to accomodate a flaw with Versa3?  Fitbit should have solved this systemic design flaw years ago.  Instead we have to jiggle the handle every time the Versa 3 looses connection.

I'm dumping Versa 3 and giving my money to another manufacturer.  Yep I'm mad.

Happy I've seen all the post! I just spent appx 2 hours trying to reconnect my versa3 that was fine until this morning.   Not wasting anymore time, moving on to a different product.  Too bad, I've used fitbit for years. Appears they can't keep up to date, or don't care to.
