Versa 3 won't sync my activities to my Fitbit app

Versa 3 not syncing to iphone. Steps are transmitted but activities not.  Message "Couldnt sync your versa 3" is displayed. Rebooting the watch and shutting down and restarting the app did not help so far.

Internet works fine

General comment: the update to the app was a big failure

Had the same problem - Versa also didn’t seem to be collecting info. Noted the website announcement that there were problems (related to latest update?) and waited until this morning. Everything now seems to be working, so hopefully the issue is permanently resolved.
