Have charged the fitbit for 4 hours and cannot get it to turn on

Hi @PoultneyM - try pushing the side button indentation by squeezing the watch between first finger and thumb, the button doesn't work with a finger nail.
Also check the charge cable and power source - see How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
If it's not that take it back for a refund and get a new one.
