Versa 3 won't turn on or charge

Hi all. My versa 3 is totally unresponsive. It does not charge, it does not vibrate, the green lights that light up on the back when charging are not on. I tried resetting by holding the ‘button’ for 10 seconds and then even longer and nothing happens at all. It’s like it’s completely dead but isn’t charging either. On my phone, it says the battery is at 22%. Please help! Is there another way to reset? Factory reset? Anything?

Hi! I'm having the exact same issue and when I chatted with someone yesterday, they told me that someone would reach out to me via email, but I've yet to receive anything. Please help! Thanks

Hi there, @lattinmr. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. 

 

As a first approach, I recommend restarting your Versa 3 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?

 

If the issue persists, please try the following:

 

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your Versa 3 using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Same here. These watches just don’t last. I have tried 3 different ones and all stop working in less than a year.

Mine is having the same issue and I’ve noticed that they attach a link for how to restart your device with each answer but the versa 3 is not listed in the devices that they give instructions for, so it’s not really helpful and I’m still in sure how to restart. It really shouldn’t be this complicated!

yes, I called customer service and they told me that it was still under warranty and would replace it. They sent an email with a form to fill out for the replacement. I got an email saying they received the form and will update me soon... haven’t heard anything since then. Wondering how long it will take for replacement to get here.

also, they said I didn’t need to send the broken watch back, which I thought was a little strange ...?

Hi all, some issues have been reported that the watch doesn't charge after a firmware update, it can also happen if it got water in it.

However, it is most likely a charge cable fault or the watch needing proper cleaning, see how to resolve in How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
