Versa 3 won't turn on or charge

  • After 8 months my Versa 3 just turned off, just charged it 5 hours later the logo appeared and it went black… no reaction even connected to a charger, tried different charger output, but no reaction.. what to do?

Hi there, @VidarH. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3 and taking the time to troubleshoot it before reaching out.

As a first approach, please make sure you've restarted your Versa 3 as described here

If the restart doesn't work, as @Guy_ has suggested, please follow the steps below: 

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Hi @VidarH - it can happen that it is just not charging, see instructions in How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
