Versa 3 won't update the time and date

My Versa 3 battery went to 0 percent. I charged it back to 100 percent but now the date is stuck as 7 Feb and time says 8.49am (it is 7.22am).

I have tried restarting my Samsung phone and the Versa, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, syncing data through the app (won't sync), checking Bluetooth on my phone (doesn't pick up the Versa), changing Automatic timezone on the app.

Is there anything else I can try?

Hi there, @Fxeldy. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3.

Your Versa 3 won't show the correct time and date as it's not syncing to your phone. So, with that being said, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 3 from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Hi @Fxeldy  - good troubleshooting and reporting,  even though you installed the app again you may still need to clear the Fitbit App storage cache and force stop it.

Remove the Versa 3 Bluetooth entry from the phone, logout/login to the Fitbit App and go to the phone home screen without closing the Fitbit App.

A sync popup should appear, click on it and it should pair and link your phone.

Pull down on the Fitbit App screen to sync the watch.

Thanks!

The time and date sorted themselves out after about 2 days. I left the Fitbit on the charger next to my phone and walked away. I guess I just had to wait for a bit.
