my fitbit literally doesn't even work as a watch unless you have the internet? can't keep or set the time, literally id trade it in for a 2$ watch any day
Update:
Basically I feel the product is forcing me to do certain things to even function, fitbit products are for "city boys?"
like you set it up, and it won't continue to work unless you make sure the battery doesn't get super low or then you MUST go find internet again. -sent from a city somewhere

Hi @Memelord7331 - you can buy watches where the lithium battery will last 5 years and don't require internet or a phone but the you don't get any other functions than time, or timers & alarms on some. You will occasionally have to manually adjust the time.
The advantage of a smart watch is it measures stuff and records the information for safe keeping on the Fitbit servers. Without an internet connection it can't do that,
The watch only has room for a certain amount of information and if not saved will get lost.
When it transfers the information it also automatically checks the time is right, in the same way a computer, Mac or phone does.
If your watch loses a lot of time in between doing the sync of information it could be faulty and need replacing.
