Versa 33.1.30 Heart rate sensor stopped working

The green light on the sensor kept dying out about 10 days ago before coming back, but now the function has stopped working all together for a week. I first tried turning it off and on again 3 times with no luck before factory resetting, but only ended up with the old software and no option to update on android or desktopp app. Have tried to wipe the watch clean but the sensor still wont work. Any advice?

This happened to me too.  Yesterday, I don't know what happened, but my FitBit thinks my resting heart rate is around 180 bpm.  When I manually take my heart rate, it's between 65-70 bpm.  I tried cleaning the sensor with alcohol.  I did a soft reset and then a factory reset; I tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it.  It works for about 5 seconds and then starts steadily climbing back to 180bpm.
