Versa Can't Find WiFi network

I just received my Versa.  I have tried several times to set it up on the WiFi network.  I get the message:

Versa was not able to find any WiFi networks, please make sure to keep the device within range of your wireless router.

That is fine except for the fact that I am seated at my desk and the router is on my desk.  I have tried doing this several times and keep getting this message and so I can't do anything since I can't add the Versa to my WiFi network.  What am I missing?  (I have other things - like my phone - attached to the network so it sin't the network).  I try to add it and after getting the message above I can't a message. "Can't Find Device.  We're unable to connect to your Versa."

Hold the left button down until you see the FitBit logo then let go.

Versa not able to find network. Tried holding the button thing. Shutting down the Versa. Shutting down the phone. Turning on-off the wi-fi on phone.. It appears that after a year the FITBIT watches seem to be less efficient

Same issue for several of us, and it’s not my phone, WiFi, or anything else. I have gone over a week without m6 Fitbit and at this point it is garbage. After purchasing 3 fitbits, not because they didn’t work but because I wanted to upgrade and loved the product, I am over it. I am annoyed that no one at Fitbit is helping us resolve this issue and they are not saying there is a problem. I said it in another post and I will say it here, I feel they are trying to force us to upgrade to the Versa 2. I have had no issues with my Fitbit and all of the sudden it won’t sync, won’t find WiFi, won’t keep time! I don’t need anyone from Fitbit telling me to try trouble shooting, what I want is an answer to why so many of us are having the same issue all the sudden?

Agreed. I ended up selling mine & getting an Apple Watch. So over it! Sad to because I loved my versa.

same with mine. Versa doesn't detect my wifi. Not sure if it is 2.4g vs 5g issue. Even hard restart didn't work.

I don’t think either matter. I gave up & bought an Apple Watch. Which I like but so sad as I have loved all my Fitbit's. I wouldn’t have ever switched if it had kept syncing.

Same here. I liked how they displayed data. However after 5 Fitbit’s in 6 or 7 years. Time for a change. Went with Garmin
