Versa Connected GPS?

I had an Ionic (RIP) i loved it, but I do like the look of the versa better.  I just don't know if I can deal with the connected GPS.  Has it improved since the blaze's connected GPS?  I remember having nothign problems getting it to actually connect and stay connected.  Is this still an issue?

While my Versa seems to show disconnected at times, the recorded map seems to be almost perfect.
