Versa Counting Floors While Charging in the Car

So I've had a Versa for about a week.  I've charged it several times while in the car.  I noticed, that it sometimes counts floors while charging as well as steps.  This never happened with my Blaze and seems to be a defect in the software.  It seems to me, if a device is being charged it shouldn't be counting steps or floors.

 

Anyone else having this problem?

 

Furthermore, the count and graph don't seem to match.

Yes!  Mine counted 36,000 steps while charging on my desk last night.  What the heck!
