Have been using Fitbit Pay for weeks. Worked yesterday but today I can't access the function. Holding the left button puts me in 'screen wake and notifications' window. Tried power cycling the watch and update the phone app and sync'ing several times. All other functions/syncs work fine, but the credit card image will not come up. It's like the watch forgot it has the Fitbit Pay ability. Any help appreciated - have become dependent on Fitbit Pay already...

Agree! The card is fine. It's a Fitbit glitch.
I didn't go through as many diagnostic tests as you, I'm sorry to say, I just happened to find this thread the second time it occurred and realised that it had only happened since I'd recently installed the app on iOS. I had been delighted with the iOS version because it synced so quickly and so well, however it was at too high a cost! I deleted the app and have been sticking to Android only for the past few days. It's still an effort to sync to my Huawei Mate 10 Pro, but it works well enough with my old One Plus 3T. What I didn't do yet, because I was getting sick of having to re-enter my card and wanted a quick fix, was check that the wallet was set up on the iPod. It doesn't necessarily seem to copy across all devices.
Getting a bit sick of how difficult it can be to sync with widely used phones. The compatibility list for Android is pathetic - all old models.

The card still appears in both my iPad and Android app - the iPad sync is erasing it from the watch.
As a side note, this forum can be quite annoying in marking issues as solved - this issue persists, and having a means of getting the card back on to the watch is not solving the issue, it’s merely recovering from the impact of a bug. Till it happens the next time...

This post had NOTHING to do with IOS or IPADs. It was a Samsung/Fitbit issue and therefore was SOLVED. Please start a NEW post with IOS/IPAD Versa Fitbit Pay stopped Working.

Wow, what misdirected indignation. Didn’t realise your post was exclusively for you and not for similar problems experienced by other users. I suggest if you don’t want anyone else joining in that you DM Fitbit and keep your problems to yourself. Sheesh...

Just read your post so thought I'd take another look at Fitbit Pay having given up on it a while ago due to the card details disappearing from the watch several times.
In the Fitbit app on my iPhone the wallet lists my (only) card and says it is the default on the watch. So I looked at the watch, which said it had no cards in the wallet. Based on things I had read before, I removed the card from the Fitbit app wallet and added it again. A tedious and annoying process as I had to enter all the details again. Still the watch does not show the card.
So I did a soft reset on the phone (left and lower right buttons) and when it came up again the card showed in the wallet. Don't know if it would have done anyway, or whether it only did so because I removed and re-added the card in the Fitbit app.
Thought I'd just check that the Fitbit app on my PC is in lock-step too, so I went to the wallet there, and I get a message saying turn on Bluetooth. But I have to keep Bluetooth turned off on my PC to avoid upsetting sync between my iPhone and the watch. I am not going to turn the PC Bluetooth on in case I cause the watch to lose the card info again. It's just too much hassle to set it up again so I won't risk it.
Altogether the situation seems to me to be a complete mess. I can't see why it doesn't simply 'just work'. I have all-day sync turned on in the iPhone Fitbit app. What more, really, should I have to do, to make this watch do what it is supposed to do? I have invested too many hours working through problems like this over and over again. I feel like my watch's childminder. It needs to grow up and take responsibility for itself.
I also find it very odd that the PC Fitbit app will not let me look at the wallet without turning on Bluetooth. Where is the master copy of the card info? Is it stored in my Fitbit account? Or on a specific device? Or on the watch? If it is stored in my account, I should be able to view the card info in the Fitbit app while logged into the account, regardless of whether the app can contact the watch. If the master info is stored on a specific device, so that other devices on the same account don't know about it, that would be a very bad design decision, but it would explain why, if you sync the watch to the 'wrong' device, the card info can disappear. If the master copy is on the watch itself, that makes no sense either, as my soft reset of the watch restored the card info, suggesting it must have got it by a sync from the app.
So I would like FITBIT to answer the question: WHERE is the master copy of the card data stored? Is it stored in the ACCOUNT, so that it can be refreshed onto the watch when a sync occurs, and so that this will happen exactly the same way regardless of which device's Fitbit app is being used (provided it is logged into the same account)? (I hope this is clear.)

I'm having the exact problem on my Fitbit Ionic. I don't have iOS device. My watch sync with the Fitbit app on my SONY Z3+ phone (Android). I contacted the Fitbit help, did everything to investigate (I'm a software developer myself), suspend card end unsuspend card, remove card and add the card back, remove phone app and reinstall phone app, soft reset watch, hard reset watch.... I cannot say I have tried all the permutation of the steps (imagine the sheer number and the endless waiting for the sync...) but I did A LOT. Have to say it's frustrating that this does not "just work". It worked before. Why don't just make it work as other watch app? It worked well that way before.

The actual card @Nu2_4rum is kept on the tracker, not the phone, there is a record of the card on the phone and the something in the Fitbit server.
Everyone the card on the tracker is used, the Fitbit server is contacted to confirm that the card is still valid.
Suspending or removing the card is imeadiatly flagged in the Fitbit server. This way if the tracker is lost, the user can go through any web browser to disable the card.
Why does Bluetooth need to be turned on when issuing the win 10 app on the PC? I don't know, this would be a question for Fitbit, not the community of Fitbit users.

Re-installing the app worked for me.

I had a similar problem. For me the wallet app on the watch only said I should add a card even though I had a card in the android app and had made purchases with the watch earlier. Today was second time I had the same problem. For me removing and adding the card again and changing pin on watch helped, even though I'm not sure how necessary the latter was.
