Versa Fitbit not working after using in water for 5 minutes!

I purchased my versa in 2018, an in 2019 it died. They replaced it immediately. BUT now less than a year later it died and customer service said they will not replace a replacement. They are offering me a 25% off coupon for a new product. I feel like I will have to replace it every 12 months. It makes me consider getting the Apple Watch. Any solutions for getting it to work after getting it wet? Thanks!

I also had to replace mine after a year. They did send me one because it just quit and it was under warranty. It just happened again a week ago, got into pool just to get wet and it shocked the crap out of me and quit working.. I am going to contact them now.,

I wore mine in the pool several times last year without incident, but after the first time this year, it began acting up. The time slowed way down and everything it did took much longer than usual; the fireworks display would show a single yellow dot in the middle of the screen after 20 seconds. It also would drain the battery to 0 after 1 day instead of going for 5 days. It is a bit more than 1 year old, so I ordered a Charge 3 to replace it. I'm hoping this one will handle the water a bit better.

Two days and no pool use yet, but it seems to work well.
