Hi!
I've been having problems with the GPS tracker on my fitbit versa, it is massively under-estimating the length of my runs. I run the same route regularly, and know it is 4 miles long. If I simultaneously track the run using the versa device itself and the track feature on the app, I get two very different readings; the fitbit app tracks the run accurately (recording a distance of 4 miles), whereas my versa device records only 2.8 miles. This is a massive discrepancy and incredibly annoying as I need accurate recordings for my average mph speed and splits in order to train properly.
I started noticing my versa was giving strangely short recordings for distance about two months ago, I have only had the versa since Christmas so its frustrating that it seems to have broken so quickly.
I always use the GPS tracker, and make sure I wait until the versa has connected to the GPS before starting, however despite this I still receive inaccurate recordings. I live between 2 locations, and make sure the versa is connected to the wifi in both houses, so this shouldn't be the problem - I have experienced inaccurate readings in both locations so I know its not due to a lack of GPS connection where I live!
If I can't solve this I will have to return the Versa (it is still under guarantee), which I really don't want to have to do
It seems very strange that the fitbit app is accurate but the versa itself isn't - any help or advice that resolves this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Its big known problem that doesn't look like its getting fixed any time soon i'm afraid. There's a big thread here:
