Versa (Gen. 1) No longer syncs to my phone.

I have had a Versa 1 since 2019. The thing has been reliable for the most part (at worst it dies after 3 to 5 days w/o recharge). Last week it disconnected itself from my phone and after restarting, has ceased acknowledging  my phone. I reset my versa to factory and now it refuses to acknowledge my phone and so it is perpetually in setup mode.

My phone is fine, bluetooth works with other devices.

I ended up replacing it but the new fitbit has it's own set of problems for another forum.

I thought it was just my Versa 2 on the fritz. Glad to know someone else is having the same issue. Hopefully we can get it figured out. I love my fitbit and need it for my Orthostatic Hypotension.

Is this recent? I feel like it was a bug with a recent update.

Having same issues - what have they done? Never had problems before!  Just won’t sync at all. No issues with my Bluetooth.

After lengthy review, it seems you/I just need to replace it. The internal
bluetooth in the Versa just dies, the warrenty is long expired and there is
nothing more but to move forward with a new tracker. It was a good run.

I don’t give up that easily !!
Maybe it’s something to do with Google taking it over?

It stopped sinking at the beginning of August. All app’s & software up todate. iPhone & Versa 2 . Removed from Bluetooth on phone as instructed but can’t get it back now. 🥵

I've had this problem.

You need to uninstall everything.

  • Fitbit.
  • Bluetooth connection
  • Factory reset watch

When you reset it up, you need to set it up over WiFi connection.

Mine did it too. I think it was a "bug"/"gliche" in the system or update. Mine connects now...finally. i was about to buy a new watch from active pro so lucky it kicked back in

I was same. Was so frustrated. It's syncing now so it must've been a gliche in an update

-------

I agree with it being a bug/gliche
