Versa, I have to give it quite a hard tap to see time

I have a fairly new Fitbit Versa and have had quite a bit of trouble with it but the latest problem is a real pain.  When I want to see the time, steps etc I have to give it quite a hard tap to show up.  I used to be able to just bring my wrist up and it would show up the time etc.  I am ready to fling it !!  Can somebody please help me!

@Merrijig Long press the left button to open quick menu. Toggle Screen Wake between Auto, Manual and back to Auto. Just in case you can reboot your tracker by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes.

Have you done a restart?  Restart device

 

Also make sure quick view is still selected. On the computer dashboard click on the gear and go to settings. Look for Quick View and make sure it is still selected.
