Versa Lite I cant get the music control to come up

I have tried everything on the fit bit app and web page. I cant get the music control to come up. when i press and hold the button and swipe right it just gives me the message connect your phone via bluetooth.

I have paired the thing with versa classic too. still no music controls. also when i went to change the clock face it says cant communicate with he phone

got any ideas?

Do you have music playing on the phone? 

When you go to the phones Bluetooth screen, does Versa Lite Classic show up as connected?
