Versa Lite and Flights of Stairs/Floors

If the Fitbit Versa Lite doesn't count floors why is it available as part of the app on my phone? Hopefully it will still count the steps I'm taking as I go up and down the flights of stairs which are within the required parameters for counting as floors.

It would have been nice to know this feature is not included, it might have led to a different purchasing decision. But so far I'm happy with the Lite edition.

@Chatterbox  Did you read the "Features" for the Versa Lite?  It clearly states that "Floors climbed available on Special Edition and Versa only."  https://www.fitbit.com/shop/versa-lite

Just because the Versa Lite lacks the altimeter to count floors, it's still counting your steps.  We shouldn't focus too much on steps taken though, we should focus on being active at least 30 minutes a day and getting your heart rate up in the cardio zone for at least 150 minutes a week.  10,000 steps an arbitrary number Fitbit came up with and it really means nothing and you shouldn't beat yourself up if you don't take 10,000 steps everyday.  Fitbit should revamp their focus on being active instead of making people think that taking 10,000 steps a day is all you need to do to be healthy.  We need to do so much  more.  Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Fitbit or their devices.  I have the Vera Lite and I love it.

It was clearly stated on the site, all ads I saw and the Fit bit Sales Rep was also kind enough to put this info forward and I took my time deciding; as I relied I had to chose what I wanted to live with. I'm  sorry you did not get what you desired. Even the counter was not accurate for me, with past devices if I had to climb up or down slowly with prev. Health limitaions.
