Versa Lite battery is quickly draining

I've been using Versalite since 2021, and last week all of a sudden battery drained within an hour. I noticed a continuous red bright light from the back of device which was never seen before. I did the factory reset but it doesn't help. I contacted customer support however it's not useful as device is out of warranty.

Hi @Farnham - this is more likely a hardware fault, possibly from moisture getting in.

If it gets hot when charging stop immediately as it is dangerous and confirms the fault.

Thanks for your response.

It's not getting hot while charging. 

We are buying Fitbit at a premium price and expecting Fitbit customer support to arrange a repair or replacement for the manufacturing defect.
