I've had my versa lite for 2 months, had no issues with it until the firmware update. Now I can't get it to pair with my Bluetooth to even do the update. Fitbit sent me a new one after assuring me that my phone is compatible (Lg G6). And it is not. I can't even get my phone to see it via Bluetooth. It did pair the very first time i set it up, then it would never sync correctly. I've done every trouble shoot tip they give with absolutely no luck. Almost $200 for 2 months of use. Great birthday present that now is junk. Totally disappointed, will NEVER recommend anyone to get one.

For those of you having trouble getting the Versa Lite to update, this is my story.
I have an iPhone 6S and the update was pushed, as expected, through the iPhone app. I elected to do an upgrade, then left the tracker overnight to do its thing. However, the update kept failing at around the 98% mark, leaving the tracker at the multilingual setup stage. I deleted and reinstalled the iPhone app only to find that the tracker would no longer connect with the phone.
The solution was to connect the tracker via its USB cradle to a Bluetooth enabled Windows 10 PC. From within the Windows app, I could set up my tracker as a new device. Thereafter, I re-synced it with my iPhone and a few days later downloaded the update again. The second time around, it installed flawlessly within 20 minutes and I have had no problems using the Versa since. Tracking, time-keeping, battery life, and messaging are all top-notch.

I don't have an Iphone,i have an android. I tried this method but it does not give Versa Lite as an option. It does show the Versa, but not the Lite
And it should not be this difficult!

It's a dumb question, but have you confirmed that your tracker is the Lite model?

Uh yea, i got it brand new in the box. AND FitBit sent a "new" one 2 weeks ago. Every thing worked just fine until the update, now, my compatible phone, can't see it to pair it or update.

This is what Fitbit does. They send people on wild goose chases knowing full well they have a problem. There is a problem with Fitbit Blaze. When they updated the app, the Blaze not longer received text messages. You had to roll back the app 2.9 to get it to work. And this is not a solution Fitbit support offered. We had to figure that out ourselves. My brother is having the same issue with his Versa lite as you. The firmware updated, and now it does not work. His watch was a Black Friday special. I bet a lot of people are having the same problem. I sure many peopled purchased that watch during Black Friday.
Also, the moderators on this site are useless.

They want me to send my replacement back (and i have to pay to do that) so they can send me another one. I just gave up. I don't believe the 3rd one will work either. The replacement only worked a day or 2. So I laugh everytime i see them "On Sale". they are $159 at Walmart, and i have 2 that don't work. I'll NEVER buy a FitBit again, and I'll NEVER suggest for anyone to buy one.

The problem is not the watch, it is the app and firmware. I think Fitbit is to busy concentrating on their premium app instead of the free app. Premium app cost about $10.00 per month. Maybe this is a marketing strategy for them. Maybe they think people with try the premium app.

Well if i have 2 watches that don't work, I'm not spending anymore money trying to get them to.

I have tried four or five times now. Tonight I had a little time so I sat with it, connected to my iPhone 10 and tried to update. It’s been about 6 hrs and not even half way there. It hasn’t been usable for 2-3 months. It stinks as it was my birthday present.
i will try to keep updating but no update should take this long at this age of technology. I am not trying to reboot the Hubble Telescope.
Also, I have to practically sit there watching it as charging as if I even take the phone 3 feet away , the update errors out. It’s more than frustrating.

I was having the same problem and I can confirm that connecting the Versa Lite to the cradle and then connecting it to my lap top fixed the problem. I logged into my fit bit account on the lap top and then tried to do the update again from my phone and this time it did the update and it’s working.

I encountered the same problem like @SunriseRun427 yesterday. I tried many solutions provided by Fitbit Forum but it didn't work. My Versa Lite now became useless. Please help users/customers fix problems as soon as possible.
