Versa Lite can't update firmware

I've had my versa lite for 2 months, had no issues with it until the firmware update. Now I can't get it to pair with my Bluetooth to even do the update. Fitbit sent me a new one after assuring me that my phone is compatible (Lg G6). And it is not. I can't even get my phone to see it via Bluetooth. It did pair the very first time i set it up, then it would never sync correctly. I've done every trouble shoot tip they give with absolutely no luck. Almost $200 for 2 months of use. Great birthday present that now is junk. Totally disappointed, will NEVER recommend anyone to get one.

I've been having a problem with my versa lite.

It used to work normally without any issue but then when it needed update for the firmware I tried every possible way so it works but it wouldn't 

I have got it as a gift and I'm frustrated and the one who gifted it to me is sad about what happened 

Tried plugging the watch to charge all the time while updating (pc or normal cable charge) nothing changed same results remained as the update wouldn't complete ...

My versa lite has been updating for 3days now.  Get a message update failed try again.  3 days and it not working.   Cant get update so fitbit not working.  What a flop for fitbit and these best way to lose customers.   Treating us like we know nothing.   I may not be tech savvy but I'm not an idiot.  I have tried everything........so disappointed I h even bought a versa 2 had the same issue and have sent it back.

I have the same problem. Ive been trying to update the fitbit versa lite for 3 days now. It's just a useless weight that can't even tell me the time due to the "update". Please, fix this.

Try plugging it into a computer! That is what worked for me!

Mine had issues pairing when I first got it about a month ago but the touchscreen quit on me a week or two into having it. I tried all the recommendations and finally had to do a factory reset on it. Now the update constantly fails and I am in the same boat as all of these other customers with an expensive paperweight

Hi I am having the same problem. 
it won’t pair. How do I organise to get a credit to purchase a different type. 
I have done all of the factory resets like everyone one else and the trouble shooting. The update just continues to fail. It will context for approximately 10 secs and then the screen turns off and connection is lost.

Call Fitbit, tell them the issue and they try trouble shooting. That's what I did and in the end they replaced it. I am on my third one because of this issue.

Have you tried connecting it to a computer/laptop??

I did that and it worked for me!

My Versa Lite had the same issue were I couldn't complete the update and it would show "Data not cleared, Sync and try again". I tried removing it from the application, adding it to a different phone. Doing hard resets and even deleting the whole application and nothing worked. After a month of giving up on my Fitbit, my daughter was able to get it to work after reading a bunch of forums. She connected it to our computer, removed the device off of the Fit Bit application and then set it up once again. Once the device was paired, it asked us to do the update. The update this time went through without a problem and my Fibit Versa Lite is working perfectly once again. I hope this helps you guys.

Fitbit replaced mine said it was somethen wrong with the watch

I have been trying to resolve this issue for 2 months now.  It's so frustrating.  This will be my first and last fitbit

I plugged original versa charger with versa lite into my laptop.Reset versa lite, deleted fitbit app and reinstalled.   It worked.   Took about 15-20 minutes but it worked.  Firmware was downloaded and versa lite has been working since.  The charger that came with versa lite did NOT work.  The old versa charger did.

I got a new versa lite in november and was working well till about 2weeks ago when i was asked to do a firmware update and now the watch wont update and wont work without the update either.

I have tried all the troubleshooting tipst

I had tried all too and troubleshoot with fitbit.  What finally worked was connecting original versa charger to laptop and that worked.   Has been working ever since.  The charger that came with versa lite never worked.
