Hi @ePortal, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa Lite since the firmware update won't complete.

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, run the firmware update again and see if the update gets completed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

So aggravated.. received Fitbit Versa Lite as a gift and it worked very well for 6 months. Went to do the update and I’ve tried everything imaginable to make it update other then throwing it in the trash. I’ve restarted, removed Fitbit, turned off/on Bluetooth. I’ve used other devices and nothing will work. I’ve recently bought an Apple Watch however I would still like to get the watch to work!! Any suggestions?

Hi @jreasoner1992, thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa Lite doesn't complete the firmware update. I totally understand how frustrated you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, run the update one more time and see if your watch gets updated.

Let me know how it goes.
