Versa Lite heart rate sensors not turning on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I noticed today that the green sensor light on my versa lite is not working. I have tried restarting the device and even resetting the factory settings. There light is still not turning on. I checked when I purchased it and of course it's out of warranty by a month! Is there anything else I can do? I've only had it a year! It should las longer. Please help!

Hi @NikkiC823, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. To resolve this issue and if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such information was really helpful for other users that were experiencing the same uncommon behavior.

Looking forward to your reply, let me know if you have any additional questions.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have restarted several times, an factory reset once. The light will turn on but will only be on for about 15 minutes. I have tried switching wrist bands, arms etc.

Good morning,

Just a little update, I ended up reaching out to Customer Support and they were not able to solve the issue. Someone else from CS was going to contact me and I have yet to hear. Since then, my issue has seemed to go away after I just let my Fitbit completely run out of battery. Don't know why that would solve it but it seemed to work. Only issue now is my battery seems to only want to last 12 or less hours, any tips on this? I have the Versa.

Thanks

This seems to be a common issue. My second Versa lite in a year is doing the same thing. I am under warranty and nothing is fixing the issue

I am having the same issue, and I am also out of warranty by a couple of months! Have tried reset, factory reset, all the settings. Nothing is working.

IDK if it would work or not, but when I just let mine completely run out of battery then fully charge mine has worked ever since. My only issue now is my battery life is 10-12 hrs.

I contacted them after making this post, and my issue was escalated. Waiting to hear back, and if they’re able to solve my issue I will definitely share the info! In the meantime I will try draining the battery as suggested. Thanks!

I contacted them back at the end of June and a specialist was going to contact me about the issue, guessing they are pretty backed up. No promises draining the battery to 0/fully charging after will work, but ever since I stopped wearing it let it die, and fully charged it just randomly started working again. Hope it works for you.

I tried letting it run out out battery at least 5 times as suggested by another user and it has not worked. Customer service was of no help and would only offer me 25% off the non-sale price of a new watch, which is actually still more expensive than the sale price currently. I’m extremely unsatisfied and am now researching Apple Watch and Garmin, and warning all my friends and family to do the same. This is a software issue that is happening to many people and Fitbit is refusing to acknowledge or stand behind their product.

Mine officially died. After getting it to work after running the battery out, about 3-4 weeks later I get no heart rate CS also offered me the 25% off for a new one also. 1.5 years for $150 watch so also not to thrilled.
