For whatever reason I can’t reply to my original post from yesterday.....was hoping this would be ‘fixed’ this morning, but nope....still seems I’m walking backwards as my Versa Lite continues to lose steps. Getting frustrated here.

There's another thread with this problem. Near the end is a sort of tracking form.
Here's the link:

The same is happening with my versa too!
Been happening a few days now,I’m getting really annoyed.£200 down the drain if they can’t fix it.

I thought I was going crazy too!! It's been a few days of this but I made it a point to write down my numbers just to prove to myself I wasn't losing it 😬

I’m getting super frustrated. This was their response to me:
“We do know that what you want is a specific time frame as to when we would be able to find a resolution, given that it is a software issue, we are still not able to provide you a definite time. At the same time, in order for them to be able to debug the situation, their research and data must align with one another.
We suggest to stay tuned for changes as trackers firmware updates constantly for feature enhancements, bug fixes and product improvements.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track. Please let us know if there's anything we may do to assist you in the meantime.“
I ready to throw it in the trash!!!

Thank you for that communication from Fitbit. It sounds like its not going to be a quick fix. I hate looking at my steps to see how many I have done to only see the number disappear and go back to zero. My app notifications are the only thing working on the watch so I'm only using it for getting my messages quicker. The clock is sometimes off so I can't even rely on the time. Oh well, so much for technology. Maybe they got hacked?

After 2 days of this, yesterday my Lite worked fine...just came in from cutting grass 7710 steps..took a shower, down to 6898

Now day 4 for me with no response or fix from Fitbit. Customer Service is a joke right now, if you can even get a hold of someone. They know of the issue but don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. Very frustrating.

I called support yesterday ... JOKE!!!!! She is sorry I'm experiencing these problems, they acknowledged that they know there is an issue with the steps & they are working on it. HOWEVER, my fitbit versa is still not recording my heart rate, sleep or telling me to move each hour & none of the lights on the back are lighting up either. Support tells me this is a separate issue from the steps & is therefore a device issue not a hardware issue. HUMMMMMM ... SURE FITBIT!!!! it all started at the same time!! I believe that's a little too coincidental!!! Support had me do a factory reset which made me lose my clock faces I had purchased and it still did not fix the issues. All they offered me was 25% off a new product!!!!! OMG!!! REALLY!?!? Is that not like being in a plane crash & then being offered a deal on your next flight!!!!!?? WTH!!!! My husband & I are avid users of Fitbit, this is my 3rd product with them since the birth of Fitbit but we are now looking at other companies & what products they offer. Customer service ... NONE!!! Fitbit doesn't seem to value its customers, I guess we are all "users".

Wow, so sad to read your post. It doesn't sound like they are trying to fix these problems that are happening to everyone. I don't get it.
I don't want to waste my time uninstalling, restall, sync. Etc.

So last night I sat down To read a book with 3,500 steps for the day. I knew if the Fitbit was working correctly I’d have almost 10k. An hour later I looked at the Fitbit to see what time it was and my steps were 9,987, which seemed right for the day. Today so far so good! Hopefully losing the steps is fixed!
