Versa Lite is losing time and it won't sync

Woke up one morning to my 4:00am fitbit watch alarm, checked my phone, it was actually 4:23. Tried to sync it to my phone, “no device” message pops up, tried it again, stuck on sync. Sometimes it works but i keep getting a popup that says it won’t connect.

 

This is a recent issue about a week old. Here are the steps i took to try to fix it.

1) Checked for updates on both the fitbit and my phone. Fitbit is up to date, my iphone 8plus is fully updated (ios 13.6)

2) Removed fitbit from the app, then logged out and deleted the app, and also removed the fitbit from my phone’s bluetooth

3) restarted the fitbit and also shut down my phone, let it sit for a bit, then turned it back on. 
4) redownloaded app and logged in. The app automatically tried to sync the fitbit to my phone. However it took 50 or so minutes (no joke) for it to find the fitbit that was fully charged and right next to my phone. 
5) got everything set up to how it used to be.

 

conclusion: fitbit versa lite time still lags behind, it still either syncs after 5 minutes, gets stuck in sync, or says “no device.” The way this less than a year old watch is working, it really is impossible to use. 
also while browsing around i keep getting a popup that tells me the watch keeps losing connection.
