Versa Lite is stuck on a temperature icon

My Versa Lite has started flashing the logo this evening, and when I try to reset it, I get an orange triangle with C/F and a thermometer on it - which suggests a temperature warning.

This has been going on for a while now, and nothing seems to stop the flashing. The Versa Lite does feel slightly warm to touch (or is that paranoia?), and one time on a reset attempt I did get a 0% battery icon - but plugging it in to charge didn’t change anything.

Hi there, @Darrow. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa Lite which is showing an orange thermometer.

If you haven't done so yet, please follow the steps from this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If your Versa Lite gets warm while trying those steps, please do not continue troubleshooting your watch. Instead, chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected. Our team will further assist you with this matter.

Nevertheless, if the watch doesn't get warm whatsoever, I recommend doing a factory reset. Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost. In order to do the factory reset, please do the following:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.
