Versa Lite is tracking too many steps while riding a bike or motorcycle

My Versa Lite is over counting the steps. When I ride the bike / motorcycle then also it counts the steps.

Recently I compared it with Amazefit & surprsingly the cheaper Amazefit did not count any step while I was riding a motorcycle & at the same time my Versa Lite counted almost 500 steps.

Please help me to resolve this over sensitiveness issue for steps counting.

Hi there, @Harshal_Naik. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa Lite. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Please note wrist Fitbit devices count steps depending on the movement of your arms. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Also, if you place it in a surface with something vibrating or if you make hard hand movements. You can learn more about how your Fitbit tracks steps by checking the article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

If you want to remove the steps from your daily total, manually log the driving activity for the time you were in a motorcycle/bike. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Hope that helps.

I'll try to edit my data, but I will have to do it everyday which is not so welcoming. I would like to add that I have compared my Fitbit with Amazefit Bip 3 Pro which is a much cheaper watch. On a 5 km motorcycle ride my Fitbit counted 500 false steps whereas the Amazefit counted less than 50 steps. So definitely Fitbit's algorithm is NOT the best.
