Hi everyone,
I got a Versa Lite a few weeks ago and so far I really like it. However, I'm having trouble getting the music controls or the Spotify app to work properly.
If I go into Settings on my Versa Lite and select "Music Controls," I can get my phone to pair with my Versa Lite. But the connection only seems to last for a few minutes before it switches off again. So if I pause my music for five minutes and then go back to the music controls, it doesn't work. I'm also unable to connect to Spotify from my Versa Lite. The app is installed and it says "Connecting..." but never actually connects.
I assume that you aren't supposed to have to manually pair your phone to your Versa Lite every single time you want to use music controls. So how do I get my Versa Lite to stay connected?
Some additional info:
Versa Lite firmware version 38.70.7.1.4
Phone = Pixel 3A (Yes, I know this isn't technically on the list of supported devices but all the other Pixel phones are so I would be surprised if my phone was the issue. My bluetooth headphones, etc. are all able to connect to my phone without issues.)
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have this exact same problem on the exact same phone.
I recently got the Fitbit Versa Lite (as of yesterday) and agreed, this is a fantastic smartwatch, however as noted I have the EXACT same issue.
When my bluetooth is on my phone, I show the Versa (which is the watch) and a Versa Classic; the former is ALWAYS shown as connected, however the second never connects automatically. I have to go into the watch's settings, select the music controls, and hit pair. Then the Versa Classic will connect. It will LOSE connection if I switch the music controls to 'on' for instance. It always has to be on pair.
And even then, it does not stay that way. I went for a walk today, and the music controls were working when I walked out the door. Not even a block into my walk - I literally went past about 5 houses - and the controls stated that it wasn't connected to my phone.
I can understand if I was away from my phone, but it was literally in my pocket. The watch is on my left write, my phone is always in my right pocket. I'm able to listen to my headphones with no issue. And this happens regardless of which player I use (and I have my podcast player, YouTube Music, and Spotify as to be connected) and ALL THREE will fail within 5 minutes.
This is really annoying, especially when I'm still trying to figure out my new headphone controls. and it would be nice to not have to take my phone out every time I want to raise the volume or change songs.
And it seems I'm not the only person having this issue, so it sounds like something with the Fitbit and not my phone.
Also, those links you sent are not at all helpful nor do they address the actual issue the OP and I are actually having.
