Versa Lite not showing text message notifications

I know there’s several people not able to receive texts messages on their versa lite. There’s too many to go through to find a suitable answer at the moment. I’ve scrolled for hours. I have iPhone X iOS version. 13.5.1 
AnD fit bit app version 3.24.1 

I was chatting with fit support help live but now cannot get back on !!They wanted me to check the current version s of my iPhone and Fitbit app then I got cut off! Sooooo frustrating !! I spent $200 on This versa lite because my charge 2 wasn’t showing any of my text messages. I guess that was a stupid decision.  Anybody have any luck resolving this issues ??

I just figured it out with the help of an agent from Fitbit live chat !!! I had to go to settings > notifications > messages > click show previews ‘always’ 

and BAM IT WORKED 

I was searching and troubleshooting for hours and hours with these people. Restarting ... re syncing ... turning sleep mode on and off .... etc and finally !! An answer !! This was for my iPhone XR

As was also noted in above-referenced Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones .

Show previews Tap Settings > Notifications. Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
