Versa Lite not turning back on

I've had the Versa light for around 6 months and it's worked fine for the most part.  Yesterday I noticed it hadn't synced with the phone and went to check it and it was off.  I turned it on and it booted up and stayed on for a short bit and I noticed it was off again.  I turned it back on and it came on again.  It said 99% battery but I plugged it in anyway just to see what it did.  It charged to 100% but a while later I noticed it was off again, and now it would not boot up at all.  I put it back on the charger and have several times since and it gives 2 different behaviors randomly as far as I can tell.  I put it on the charger and a battery shaped icon comes up on screen showing 0 battery charge and after a minute vibrates and shuts off.  Or I put it on the charger and it shows the Fitbit logo like it is starting to boot up then shortly goes black and after a minute vibrates and shuts off.  I have cleaned the charging contacts and tried a different USB charger with no change.

I'm really hoping for something helpful.

Hi @Synghyn, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors of your Versa Lite are still flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? You already tried some steps from this article, however, please try all of them and let me know if the issue persists: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device?. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be here.

No, it's completely unresponsive off the charger.  As I said, when I plug it unto the charger it comes up with either the empty battery icon for a moment, or the fitbit logo indicating startup.  But either way after a minute it does a short vibration and then is just dead again.
I have tried everything in the article with no change.  Cleaned pins with alcohol, no change.  Tried several different USB port including the higher power one I charge my tablet with.  I believe the fact that it showing the battery icon when mounted to the charger proves it is getting a proper connection.  It has not been wet at all, I don't swim or shower with it on.  I can't restart it because off the charger, holding the button doesn't do anything.  Based on different articles I have held the button for between the 10 seconds it says in the manual, to over 3 minutes that one of the articles mentioned, so restart hasn't worked.  I have not seen the insufficient power source message, and I have used it every day since I received it, so it has not sat unused at all.  And while the device certainly seems to have been depleted to zero power, it never said that until I started seeing the 0% battery indicator when I put it on the charger.  As I said, when the issue originally began, the watch face said it was at 99%.  Any other suggestions?
