Versa Lite not turning on after firmware update

Hi, I updated my Versa lite yesterday and today it died at around 10% battery life. I've tried charging it, but the device won't turn on and only gets warmer the longer I leave it on the charger. I've tried several of the recommendations I've seen on this forum to no avail (hold down the button for 10s, charge longer, etc). The device is only 7 months old.
