I first noticed the touch screen was occasionally not working. Unusually I would connect it with the charger, even if it still had some battery life, and this seemed to fix the issue
Then a couple days ago the screen was completely none responsive. So I did a search and found that a number of people have been having this issue (!?!?). I tried holding the left button until the fitbit logo appeared in order to restart it and the touch screen worked for about an hour.
This time when I tried to restart it, the logo appear for the briefest of seconds but it did not appear to actually restart. Plus, the left button now wasn't working either. Gggrrreeaaattt
If I shook my wrist, the screen would light up but that was the only sign of life. So I checked the forums again and how to do a factory reset. Apparently, one can only do this using the touch screen. Extremely not helpful & frustrating. The solution to the problem can not be done due the problem?!?! (whose bright idea was that anyway?!?! The factory reset should always be a manual trigger)
Anyway... the only thing I could think to do was to let the battery die down and force it to "reset". Once it died and was allowed to recharge the touch screen worked! Eureka!
But, not taking any chances, I went to do a factory reset just in case. Now, it's completely dead. Thanks fitbit for disappointing me a 2nd time and taking my money.
I enjoyed my first, the basic flex and eventually upgraded to the Charger HR. That was disappointing as the flimsy plastic backing came off completely negated the ability to charge. Unless you were willing to stand there holding the charging cable. I superglue it, but eventually it couldn't be glued any more & became useless. I took a little break after that disappointment before looking at other wearable products. I decided to try fitbit one more time and here I am, deflated once more. It would seem that the more advance the tech, the more expensive and cheaply made.

Fingers crossed, mine is still working. Hope it lasts but won"t be shocked if it doesn't.

Hello, I have the same problem and follow your steps one by one. My Fitbit versa lite is not responding to the touch screen. It is brand new I don't have three months with it and it is giving me issues. Please help!

What did you go for? I've started looking today after my versa has died.

I am very disappointed with my Versa. It is my 1st Fitbit, and probably my last. I purchased it in January, and less that 6 months later, it will not hold a charge for longer than 10 hours and stopped tracking my steps. It has never had an accurate GPS distance recording. It also does not stay synced. I have to turn off the Versa and reset the sync feature. I have tried rebooting it, but it did not help. It is now just another "thing" in my phone charging drawer!!!

Sorry you're having trouble. Mine is still working luckily, but I don't have total confidence in it yet because of my past issues. Maybe at this point you just need to contact Fitbit customer service. As I shared in my initial post, I was just sharing what worked for me but I I'm not affiliated with Fitbit other than being an owner of one. I hope you get some help and get yours working. Good luck!

I find that this seems to be a problem with all of these watches. I had the blaze and the versa and both started to give problems after two years.

You were lucky to get 2 years without problems.
Mine did not even last 1 year.
You are lucky... this replacement will give you the time to look into a new one !

I have tried these resets, and they don't work. No matter how long Imholdmthe button, the screen remains black and there is no vibration. The app synced to my device, apparently the battery is full. But on the watch itself I cannot see a thing.

Okay. So my Versa Lite has been working fine for the 7 months I've had it, but recently it has been automatically going to the settings, the time is wrong, and I have no idea what to do... Have any of you had the same problem?

I had the same problem. Fitbit sent me a new watch, worked fine until there was another update and then that one would not sync.
Chatted with somebody on the Fitbit site, but they had no idea what the problem was. Everything they were telling me I already
had done. Very very frustrating.

Hi Kiorbee,
I’ve had the exact same problem. I want my money back as well. I’ve had my Fitbit less than a year. This is **ahem**ing ridiculous!! Did you get a refund from Fitbit?
Thanks,
Monica Castillo
