Versa Lite only showing missed calls

I just got a second Versa Lite, and I am having the same problem as the one I returned. I can receive all notifications from my Galaxy S7 cellphone, but will not receive phone calls while they are happening. Instead, I will receive a missed call notification AFTER the phone call. The test calls also do not work. In addition, when I go to music controls, a screen shows up telling me to pair my phone in the settings, which I have already done. I just want to fix this issue, as I spent $200 and a $45 fitness tracker allowed me to receive call notifications with no problem. I have talked to Fitbit over chat and phone and no one has been able to help me.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not receiving call notifications on your Fitbit Versa and are having difficulties with music control. Thank you for letting us know that you've been in touch with Customer Support and that you have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which is part of the compatible devices. Thanks for the troubleshooting steps you've performed before contacting us. If you haven't done it already, please follow the next instructions:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your Versa.
  • Check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure Bluetooth and location services (GPS) are On. In addition, verify that your phone isn't in Silent mode and that it allows the phone call ring.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I am now able to control my music but I am
still only receiving missed calls.
