Versa Lite registering HR way too high

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi.

I bought a Versa Lite in June, and by July it would not turn on. I received a replacement device in August.  Six weeks into the life of the new Fitbit Versa, the device is registering my heart rate as high as 161 bpm when I'm sitting down.  (I checked my pulse with a different tracker, and it was 77.)  It also registers my heart rate when I don't have the Fitbit on.  Help!

@KellieMP welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it's tracking high heart rate readings when you are sitting down.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, make sure of the following details:

  • Your device is positioned correctly on your wrist:
  • Tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip on your wrist. For more information, see How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?
  • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For best results, use the wristband that came with your device.

Finally, monitor your heart rate and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, now the Fitbit won't even turn
on. This is my 2nd dead Fitbit in less than 3 months.
