I have read almost every thread on how to troubleshoot your Fitbit not updating the firmware and I can’t get it to update correctly. I noticed last week my Fitbit was showing the wrong time as opposed to my phone. I checked the connection and it was synched, so I decided to factory reset my Fitbit and reinstall the app to start over. Not I can not get the Fitbit to update to the most current firmware. The steps I have completed are:
- factory reset Fitbit
- re-started 3 times in a row
- removes Fitbit from app, uninstalled app, turned phone off for 5 minutes, then re- did it all
- numerous additional re starts on Fitbit
- numerous Fitbit removals and re-installs.
The app finds my watch, pairs, but will not finish the upgrade.

@Sbrown3534, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa Lite doesn't finish the firmware update. By the way, thank you for trying the troubleshooting steps mentioned above before contacting our forums.
I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they assisted you via chat. I'm glad to hear that they provided some instructions in order to fix this issue. In case the issue persists, please reply to them with the reference number they provided in order to follow up.

I have the same problem.
I only used the fitbit like less than a week. There were some notifications that were stuck. I tried to soft reset the phone twice and on the second time I accidentally factory reset the versa lite.
Now, it has been a nightmare this past 3 days trying to download the firmware - the blue bar on the versa lite took 24 hours to reach full. Then trying to update the firmware, it keeps stopping halfway.
I reset the phone and the watch countless times. Unpaired and paired countless times. Deleted and added the device from the fitbit app countless times.

After spending days on this.
I read a post and decided to try.
I connected the fitbit with its cradle to my laptop. Since my laptop is a corporate laptop, I couldn't install Fitbit windows App.
After the device was installed onto my laptop, I then tried to update firmware with the fitbit app on my handphone.
Surprise, surprise. The installation worked.
This is after 3 full days of frustration and nothing suggested from Fitbit support worked.

My versa life fitbit has been updating for 3 days! I’ve logged in and out of my account on numerous occasions, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times, I’ve turned my Bluetooth on and off several times and it still won’t upgrade properly! Any suggestions?
