Versa Lite's screen stuck on Fitbit logo

My Versa lite stopped reading my heart rate and the green light disappeared. The Fitbit app showed that an update was needed so I updated my Fitbit and then afterwards took it off to charge since the battery was low after the update. Now, my screen is only showing the Fitbit logo and if I press the side button it doesn’t do anything. I can’t access anything on the Fitbit or turn it off. This Fitbit is less than a year old and gently used (never been swimming or around a lot of water - primarily used to track step count).

Hi @erinrnewberry, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa Lite since the screen is stuck on the Fitbit logo. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.
  • After this, set up your watch from scratch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
