Versa Lite screen "glitching" as if someone else is touching it

My mom replaced her fitbit versa lite because it would not charge. They sent her a new one but she bought a different one and gave the replacement to me. I'm trying to set it up and when I touch the screen, it doesn't work like it should. It moves on its own like someone else is touching it. Screen is clean, no scratches or dents on it, and no hair on screen. I've had the watch for all of 30 minutes.

Here's things I've already tried

Factory reset

Phone restart

Unpair/pair

Clean screen with soft cloth

Has anyone else had this issue? How can I fix it?

Mine's doing the exact same thing. I'm on my THIRD replacement from the same issue. Yet customer service told me it's not a known defect.
