Versa Lite screen won't respond

Hello, I have a Fitbit Versa Lite and I use that with an Apple iPhone SE (1st Gen). This evening the iOS fitbit App said that new firmware was available for my Versa Lite.  So installed that.  Unfortunately, the update didn't work or it broke the screen.  Now my Versa Lite won't display the time, the display is either blank or its a mixture of garbled colours.  Strangely, I scan swipe the screen left, down and up and see the other displays OK, but not the time.  The iOS App says I have version 72.1.19 install on my watch, My Vera Lite was bought June 2020 so not quite two years old.
