Versa Lite shows an X and won't update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

my versa lite has the X, and when I hooked it up to another phone, it needed an update, and it won't update past a certain point and will do the x and then it will go on the updating symbol. Fitbit needs to fix the versa lite because I had this for a little over 6 months.😠😠👎

Hi @AlexanderRoss. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for letting me know about your Versa Lite not updating correctly and your efforts while working on this. I'm sorry that you're going through this situation and let me help you with this. Since your post didn't mention, may I know if the Fitbit app is updated on your phone? If that's correct, make sure to turn off any Bluetooth connection that is nearby and give a try to the troubleshooting steps described in this help article.

I'll be around, please keep me posted.

I put it on my new phone and it would not even connect, then I put it on my second newest iphone 7 and it would sort of load

Hi @AlexanderRoss. I'm glad to see you here again.

Thanks for getting back with more details about this situation. Since your watch isn't connecting to do the update, I'd recommend to give one last try to these other steps in the given order:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone, tap on the icon next to your Versa Lite and then on  Forget this device.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone and from any other device nearby.
  3. Reboot your phone and restart your Versa Lite as described here.
  4. Turn on the Bluetooth in your phone and open the Fitbit app.
  5. Tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device > Charge 4. Select the option to replace and follow the onscreen instructions.

About your other inquiry, please know that we want our Fitbit Community to be a place where users can come to share their feedback and stories in a positive and productive manner, so please keep in mind the Community Guidelines when posting. Your opinions are always welcome.

Let me know how it goes.
