Versa Lite stopped showing notifications

After just 1 day of having my new versa lite the notifications stopped coming through. 

I am completely new at all this too and I am starting to get frustrated.

When I go to the app and look at notifications it says that not working and that I need to restart my phone. I tried this and nothing. 

Please can anyone help? Thanks in advance

Regarding the notifications issue that your Fitbit Versa is experiencing, I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they will reply to your email soon in order to follow up and assist you accordingly. Please keep an eye on your email account.
