Hi, my Versa lite has stopped tracking my steps and unable to access anything except fort the time. The green light has stopped flashing. I had a message telling me to upload a new clock which I’ve done now just able to see screen wake and notifications.Ive reinstalled the app and reset watch also My watch is just over a month old.

I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa Lite since it's not allowing you to access to anything but the time only, stopped tracking your steps and the green light won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
Please make sure that the clock face that you selected is developed by Fitbit. If it's from Fitbit, have the battery to drain completely. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if it works properly.

Hi,
I charged for 3 hrs as recommended. I was using a clock by Fitbit. Once charged there was a message to update which I have been trying to do since last night. The battery keeps on running out during the update process.

@DeeTee15 I'm sorry for the late response. However, since you mentioned that the battery is draining fast, I'd like you to try the tips that are listed in this help article. After this, try the update process again and see if it gets completed.
